We are writing to share an important update regarding the Windy City Crown Open, scheduled for March 21–22. As this was a brand-new event, we have been closely monitoring early registration and engagement. Based on that assessment, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the event this year.

This decision reflects our commitment to delivering a consistently high-quality national event experience you expect from Pop Warner. At this stage, participation levels did not yet align with that standard, and we believe it is prudent to pause rather than proceed prematurely..

We understand that teams have begun planning and fundraising for the event and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

What happens next:

• All registration fees will be fully refunded to the original method of payment.
•  All future invoices will be cancelled to prevent further payments toward the event.
•  We encourage you to cancel any travel or lodging arrangements that may have been made.

While we will not be hosting the Windy City Crown Open this season, we will be working closely with our partners and the Pop Warner cheer & dance community to learn from this initial launch, gather feedback, and thoughtfully plan future opportunities. We remain committed to supporting our community and delivering fun, new event experiences.
