Welcome to the 2025 National Cheer & Dance Championships AND the Queen City Crown Open in Charlotte North Carolina. So exciting to give our athletes a new venue and city to explore with the similar look and feel of the beloved National Championships. Charlotte has given Pop Warner a warm welcome, even with the slightly cooler temperatures we are used to at the National Event. Check back often for heart warming stories of our amazing athletes and coaches.
FIRST QUEEN CITY CROWN CHAMPION
Congratulation to the Venice Viking Mitey Mite SC2 team from the Southeast Region. They are our inaugural Queen City Crown Champions.

SPOTLIGHT - EASTERN REGION
The Billerica Chiefs are happy to be here! This small but Mitey team is competing in the small level 2 division. They traveled from the New England
Region for this event. It will be the first time all 9 are on the mat at the same time after dealing with injuries throughout the season. Their coaches, especially head coach Darnyel Abreu, are proud of their girls for putting in the hard work and dedication needed to attend the national event with the entire group. They celebrated this milestone by having a team pizza party the night before performing.
When not at practice, the team put a lot of effort into fundraising to help cover travel expenses. Two of their most successful events were Double-Good Popcorn sales and a golf tournament. Good luck girls!
SPOTLIGHT - EASTERN REGION
The Chelmsford Pee Wee team is fired up! Head coach, Sophia Kano is proud of her team's perseverance competing in level 2. After placing 3rd in level 1 in 2024, they wanted to challenge the team and here they are! Kajo feels that what really makes her team of 10 special is that they are all friends. They are a tight knit group who love to do activities together and bond. Some of those activities include fundraising for their trip to North Carolina. None of the girls have been here before. THe team was successful selling popcorn and doing a music bingo night. That's right, MUSIC BINGO! It sounds like it was a lot of dancing and fun! Good Luck Chelmsford. New England is cheering you on!
