What is Social Media Day?
Social Media Day showcases the spirit of Pop Warner Cheer & Dance teams. Highlighting accomplishments, showcasing skills, and the love of the sport. This will be open to all the teams across Pop Warner Cheer & Dance from coaches, volunteers, and families to post. Listed below will be active media trends that will be shared with leagues and associates to help highlight these teams.
What Do I Need to Do?
It's simple! All you have to do on Social Media Day is post items to your personal AND/OR Pop Warner-affiliated social media accounts using the hashtag #PopWarnerCheerAndDance and tag Pop Warner National Cheer & Dance in the post.
What Types of Content Should I Be Posting?
Participants:
- Favorite memories in Pop Warner
- Sideline moments
- Competition highlights
- Encouraging stories or messages
- Shoutout to your coaches/administrators
- Experiences at Cheer & Dance Nationals, Regionals and All-American Scholar Weekend
Coaches/Administrators:
- Important announcements for the year
- Registration information (dates, deadlines, locations, etc.)
- Why Pop Warner: The benefits of participation, joining a team
- Team photos
- Meet the athletes
- League/Association Championship dates
- Other important dates (cheer coach course, first day of practice, etc.)
Video Prompts
While your content can be text, photo or video, it's worth noting that video content, particularly short-form Instagram Reels, Facebook Stories or TikTok Videos, is very popular.
