Pop Warner Partners With SOLARO To Bring Educational Prep Resources to Young Scholar-Athletes

Langhorne, PA (August 6, 2021) –  Pop Warner Little Scholars, the nation’s oldest youth football, cheer and dance organization, recently announced its partnership with SOLARO, a leading online study guide for grades 3-12, that will provide participants with academic resources to enhance their studying and exam preparation.

Pop Warner is the only national youth sports organization that requires its student-athletes to meet minimum academic standards in the classroom to participate in their sport. It, like the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and National Federation of High Schools (NFHS), has academic guidelines and criteria that need to be met in order for a student-athlete to participate, including a minimum GPA of 2.0 or 70 percent.

Under the partnership, SOLARO will serve as an academic resource to help Pop Warner members excel in the classroom. Through the paid service, students will have access to thousands of practice questions for English Language Arts, Mathematics and Science, available 24 hours a day at https://www.solaro.com/pwls and mobile apps via IOS and Android. Instant test feedback is given to show where improvement is needed, and a full set of lessons on the test’s core concepts with built-in tools such as study notes and flashcards are available. Pop Warner student-athletes will receive a 94% discount on the retail price and have access to all resources through a specific Pop Warner portal.

“We believe the academic standards set in our organization give these children a sense of responsibility and an appreciation for academics and athletics that will help them develop later on in life,” said Jon Butler, Executive Director of Pop Warner. “SOLARO is a very good option for young student-athletes looking for assistance in school. It’s an incredible resource that we’re excited to offer our members.”

Each year, Pop Warner recognizes and celebrates those who perform exceptionally well in the classroom as part of its All-American Scholars program. The program requires a minimum 96% GPA along with notable activities and achievements in the community. This past year we honored nearly 3,000 Pop Warner participants with All-American Scholar status.

“We’re very excited about our partnership with Pop Warner and to be able to bring high-quality academic resources to thousands of its student-athletes across the country. We feel that our specialization in study and test prep materials for grades 3-12 and our mission to help young students succeed academically align perfectly with Pop Warner’s core values and the standards it sets for its participants,” said SOLARO owner, Gautam Rao.
