Historic Week Draws to a Close With DI Super Bowl Championships

Saturday delivered a fitting finale to the Pop Warner Super Bowl, as championship drama unfolded across multiple age groups and six more teams went home with a beautiful Super Bowl trophy. From defensive slugfests and highlight plays to last-second heroics, the final day showcased everything that defines championship football on the youth level.

The day opened with a strong statement from Fort Myers (FL), as the Firecats captured their first of two titles on the day, this one the 9U national championship with a 16–0 shutout victory over the Lower Perk Longhorns (PA). Behind disciplined execution and a dominant defensive effort, Fort Myers set the tone early and began what would become a championship-filled day for the program.

The Firecats opened the day with a title and closed the night with one, picking up the 8U championship, shutting out the Capital City Steelers (NC), 19–0, to claim the national title and cap an exceptional Super Bowl run for the program.

In a battle of New York and LA, defense took center stage in the 10U national championship. Santa Margarita Cowboys prevailed in a tightly contested battle, edging the Mo Better Jaguars form Brooklyn, 8–0.

Richmond Heights Fastbreak (OH) delivered one of the most commanding performances of Championship Saturday in the 11U national championship. The Fastbreak controlled all phases of the game en route to a 31–0 shutout of the Harrisburg Cowboys (NC), leaving no doubt as they claimed the national crown.

The 12U national championship provided the moment everyone will remember. In what many called the game of the day – and possibly the game of the tournament – Gilbert-Chandler Broncos (AZ) outlasted NEO Flight (Akron, OH), 42–39, in a thrilling back-and-forth showdown. The game featured multiple highlight-reel plays, including one featured on ESPN, before a jaw-dropping, game-winning pitch and Randy Moss-style TD catch on 4th down as clock struck zero. An unforgettable championship finish.

One of the most physical battles of the weekend came in the 13U national championship, where Oceanside (CA) earned the program’s second national championship of the week. In a hard-fought defensive struggle, the team known as Smack City edged the Westchase Colts (Tampa, FL), 6–0, overcoming one of the most respected programs in the country to secure the title.

Championship Saturday brought the Pop Warner Super Bowl to a powerful close, delivering unforgettable moments, elite competition, and a lasting reminder of why this stage represents the pinnacle of youth football in America.
