44th Annual Scholar All-American Banquet Saturday, May 29, 2004

Pop Warner hosts the annual Scholar All-American Awards Program each year to celebrate the accomplishments of our gifted scholar-athletes. Going into our 44th year hosting this event, Pop Warner has become a staple at Disney venues. The event alternates annually between Disneyland™ (2005) and DisneyWorld™ (2004). This year's event is taking place on Saturday, May 29, 2004 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL.
All Scholastic All-Americans (1st and 2nd Team) are eligible to attend the PWLS National All-American Banquet. Day-long festivities include a morning Tribute to the Scholars and an evening Dinner Banquet. First Team All-Americans who attend the Dinner Banquet are given one complimentary ticket towards the dinner procession while 2nd Team All-Americans receive one ticket at the discounted rate of $35.00. Below is an outline of the activities of this year's program:
A Tribute to Our Scholars: (10:00 am - 12:30 pm)
Since the Dinner Program is a balance of recognizing adult honorees and the Scholars, the morning ceremony provides the opportunity to focus solely on the children. This informal event will include brief congratulatory remarks from various speakers, video presentations, as well as a raffle with several items available for scholars to win.
All Scholars who attend will receive a certificate whether they are the First or Second team. Professional photographers will also be on hand to capture the moments of your child being honored, and will also take individual photos of each scholar. These photos will be available to purchase at the event or afterwards by going to www.popwarner.com.
Dinner Banquet: (7:00 pm - 9:30 pm)
In the evening, we recognize our top scholar athletes and deserving adults outside of Pop Warner who have contributed to the advancement of academics and athletics in the United States . This year's first award winner to be honored at the Dinner is former Congressman and San Diego Chargers and Buffalo Bills quarterback Jack Kemp . All other awardees will be announced on www.popwarner.com as they are confirmed. 2004 marks the first year that Pop Warner will award the NFL Team of the Year Awards to this year's recipients, the Carolina Panthers and the Jacksonville Jaguars . Other Pop Warner friends and supporters will be on hand for the day's events.
All First Team All-Americans will receive one (1) complimentary ticket for the Dinner and Second Team All-Americans may purchase one ticket at a discounted rate of $35.00. Additional tickets are available at $60.00/each for all guests. (Actual value, $175.00)
A special highlight of the Banquet is always the announcement of scholarships to those First Team All-Americans in 8th grade and above. Since 1993, over $250,000 in scholarship dollars has been awarded through the Pop Warner Awards Program.
