Background Checks

Pop Warner programs nationwide are required to annually conduct a background check of: Coaches, Board of Directors members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular service to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players and/or spirit participants. The purpose of these background checks is, first and foremost, to protect the children.

Background Check Affidavits:

The required affidavits corresponding to the background check investigations are available for download below.  Please be advised that one affidavit should be filled out for each association and/or league member that is performing the background checks. 

Please note: this form should NOT be sent to the National Office. One affidavit per association should be forwarded to the league level along with the volunteer application(s) of the association official(s) who performed the background checks at the association level so those applications can be reviewed by a league official(s). All association affidavits should be maintained at the league level.
