2009 Pop Warner All-American Scholars Announced; Scholar Banquet Nears

Pop Warner recently announced the 2008 - 2009 All-American Scholars. This year record numbers of All-American Scholar applications were once again submitted to us...over 8,100 total! All scholars are invited to attend the 49th Annual Scholar All-American Scholar Awards Banquet, taking place on Friday, May 22 & Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Coronado Springs Resort at DisneyWorld.

Don't forget to book your tickets for the Banquet and make your hotel reservations at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort at the Pop Warner discounted rate as the room block is almost full and will close right after the deadline - Wednesday May, 6th!

Furthermore, we are excited to announce that NFL Pro-Bowler Bob Sanders, New York Giants RB Brandon Jacobs, and two-time Olympic Gold Medal Swimmer Summer Sanders are the first of several special guests to announce they will be attending the 2009 Pop Warner Scholastic Banquet. More banquet guests will be announced as they are confirmed.*

Help Choose 30 Fields to be Renovated by Kellogg's Frosted Flakes

The finalists have been named, and now it's time for you to help pick the winners! More than 3,400 athletic fields all over the country (including more than 1,300 football fields!) were nominated for renovations as part of a program from the Kellogg's Frosted Flakes Earn Your Stripes (EYS) initiative. Frosted Flakes is a proud partner of Pop Warner football, cheerleading and dance and is dedicated to encouraging kids to eat right and work hard to be their very best.

The nominees were narrowed down to the top 100 finalists and from May 1-May 31, you can go online to vote for your favorite fields - perhaps even one in your area! The 30 winning fields will receive a renovation that will help make each space a better and safer place for kids to stay active and learn through their experiences with sports.

DeBartolo Sports University to Offer Football Instructional Camps & Clinics

Pop Warner is pleased to announce a new partnership with DeBartolo Sports University, the premier amateur sports education organization offering youth football instructional camps and clinics.

Together, DeBartolo Sports University and Pop Warner will be offering Pop Warner athletes across the U.S. the opportunity to attend DeBartolo Football Festivals, which feature five unique and separate fun and instructional football events. The weekend events feature football showcases & skills challenges, training and developmental camps and coaching clinics taught by the highest level of professional coaches and athletes.
