SIGN CHEER:
This is a good time to utilize signs for crowd participation, but also a good time to work on your competition stunts. Use stunts you will be incorporating in your routine with the entire stunt group performing that skill. This strengthens their skill and gets them comfortable with performing in front of a crowd, it builds skill and confidence.

CROWD ENHANCERS:
Each year the Warrior Cheerleaders try to do something to entice the crowd to cheer with us. Yearly we incorporate the use of poms, signs and megaphones. Additionally, we have used inflated spirit sticks in our team colors & rooter poms to engage the crowd. When we are short on time and money, we fill clean empty water bottles with beads, buttons, & pipe cleaners in our team colors for some noise makers. The kids have fun making them and sharing them with the crowd. We collect them at the end of the game to use the following week. This year we have invested in spirit towels for the crowd to wave.
These 2 sidelines are staples in our cheer list. The girls love them and the crowd loves them!

SAY IT WITH A SIGN!:
There’s nothing like the roar of a crowd to get your team motivated! It’s a wonderful feeling when the excitement in the stands matches the excitement on the field. A great way to get your fans cheering along with your squad is to incorporate the use of signs. With the various noise of a football game, it’s sometimes hard for persons sitting further away to know what your squad is cheering. Signs tell the fans what to yell. Your signs can say Go, Fight, Win, Defense, Touchdown and of course your team mascot name. Signs are especially a help if you have a smaller squad, or a very large stadium. The brighter the better, signs are also a great way to add a splash of color to your sideline.
