Marriott becomes the Official Lodging Provider of Pop Warner in 2004
MARRIOTT-POP WARNER NATONAL PARTNERSHIP
In 2004, Pop Warner Little Scholar's, Inc. announced a new lodging partnership program with Marriott International wherein Marriott International became the “Official Hotel Partner” of Pop Warner Little Scholar's Inc. We all know travel expenses are a major drain on youth sports organization's budgets. Marriott launched its sports business to give back something to the youth sports community by assisting sports' teams in obtaining the best rates for their organizations. Marriott offers a high quality cost effective program and donates five percent 5% of its proceeds from room nights back to your local Pop Warner organization that booked the travel. Both Marriott and Pop Warner are committed to achieving the goals of good sportsmanship and academics.
WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?
Marriott has generously agreed to offer Pop Warner participants the lowest market rates available for room nights, meeting space, banquet and competition rooms. Additionally, Marriott will donate a percentage of proceeds from actualized room nights back to Pop Warner. Furthermore, participants who enroll, at NO COST, in the Marriott Rewards program will be able to earn points faster and use those points for personal travel. Even more importantly, Marriott has expressed its strong commitment to the Pop Warner organization to join together to meet the goals of academic, scholastic and community excellence. Marriott is also supporting Pop Warner programs such as yours through advertising, scholarship and donations that Pop Warner relies on in order to continue its programs worldwide.
HOW DOES THIS SPONSORSHIP WORK?
IN ORDER TO RECEIVE 5% OF ACTUAL ROOM NIGHT SALES BACK TO YOUR ORGANIZATION, YOU MUST CALL THE MARRIOTT NATIONAL GROUP SALES OFFICE TOLL FREE AT 1-888-236-2464 AND BOOK YOUR ROOMS, MEETING SPACE OR BANQUET ARRANGEMENTS THROUGH MARRIOTT'S DESIGANTED POP WARNER REPRESENTATIVES: LORI RODRIGUEZ, CATHERINE KELLY, OR SCOTT MERRILL.

Although you are initiating the lodging arrangements through this National Office, you will still be able to work directly with your local Marriott or Convention and Visitor's Bureau contacts.
Next, explain what your travel needs are. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE a Marriott contact, rest assured that Lori, Catherine, and Scott will happily work with them to meet your needs. If you go directly to your local Marriott, your account will NOT be credited for a rebate as the tracking system is housed at the Marriott National Group Sales Office. The tracking of your account activity will only help to provide you with better service as your account grows. Also, the National Marriott Office may be able to honor deals you have already made with your local contacts.
After your Marriott stay concludes, Marriott will credit your account and you will receive a rebate check for 5% of the actual room nights used.

WHAT IF I GET A BETTER DEAL THROUGH ANOTHER CHANNEL?
Marriott's Look No Further Best Rate Guarantee policy states that if a customer makes a reservation through Marriott and finds and submits a lower publicly available rate within 24 hours for the same hotel, room type, and dates on the Internet, through a travel agency, travel management company, or even Marriott, Marriott will match the lower rate and give an additional 25% off.
