Jon Butler
Executive Director |
Jon's background has prepared him well for his role in Pop Warner. It combines an unusual combination of football experience and business knowledge. For eight years he was President of Rae Crowther Co., the leading manufacturer of football blocking sleds and field equipment. He also spent six years as a high school assistant football coach and one year coaching CYO. Furthermore, he is a long-time member of the American Football Coaches Association.
Jon has always enjoyed working with children, as shown by his eight years service as a Big Brother. For his volunteer work with fundraising and recruiting for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Philadelphia, Jon was recognized by the Chapel of the Four Chaplains. In 2006, He was selected as the Hershey’s S.T.R.I.V.E Awards’ National Youth Sports Administrator of the Year.
After several years as a Director, Jon was elected Vice President of the National Council of Youth Sports. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the National Children’s Literacy and Book Alliance, the Editorial Advisory Board of Sports Events Magazine, the Diversity Committee of U.S. Lacrosse, the Board of Directors of USA Football and the Board of Hopewell Valley Recreation Foundation. |

Mary Fitzgerald
Chief Operating Officer |
With a concentration in Sports Law and Marketing, Mary received a JD/MBA from Tulane University in May of 2001, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of The Sports Lawyers Journal. Mary’s publications include “The Court of Arbitration for Sport: Doping and Due Process During the Olympics” and “Sports Law.” At Pop Warner, Mary’s work focuses on obtaining and negotiating sponsorships, licensing and fundraising opportunities, drafting contracts and administrative policies. Prior to joining Pop Warner, Mary was Manager of Business Affairs at FOX Cable Networks in Los Angeles, and also clerked for the National Football League and interned for the NHL’s Minnesota Wild. |

Sam Mutz is the National Football Commissioner for Pop Warner Little Scholars. He has been with Pop Warner since 1994. Sam recieved his undergraduate degree from Temple University in Philadelphia in Sports Administration. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for Kickoff Magazine, the official magazine of Pop Warner Little Scholars, as well as the Technical Committee for USA Football, a youth football advocacy group formed in 2002. Sam currently lives in Philadelphia with his wife and kids. |

Lisa Moroski
National Cheer & Dance Commissioner |
Lisa is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Over the past 18 years, she has continued her work with her alma mater as the Director/Coach for the Hawk’s Cheerleading Program.
Lisa was appointed to the position of National Cheer & Dance Commissioner at Pop Warner Little Scholars in 1998. As part of her responsibilities, she has facilitated the continual improvement of the Cheer & Dance Rules Book and Coaches’ Clinic Curriculum, and has increased the National Championships to a five-day event featuring over 400 cheer & dance squads. Lisa carries several National Safety Certifications and National Judges Credentials. She holds the designation of Certified Sports Administrator as a member of the National Council of Youth Sports in conjunction with the George Washington University. Lisa currently resides in Bucks County, PA with her husband Thom, and their son, Thomas, a Junior Midget Football Player in the Pop Warner Bux-Mont League. |

Josh Pruce
National Director of Scholastics and Media Relations

Josh Pruce is the National Director of Scholastics and Media Relations for Pop Warner and is responsible for all aspects of Pop Warner’s national media efforts. Josh attended Syracuse University and has a degree in Communications.
He has worked in the sports and media fields for the past ten years. He was worked for three different minor league sports teams where his titles ranged from Director of Broadcasting and Media/Community Relations to Assistant General Manager. |

Beth Dietz
National Events Manager |
Beth is the National Events Manager for Pop Warner and is responsible for the strategic planning and operations of Pop Warner National Events including the National Championship Week and the National Scholastics all-American Banquet.
Beth also serves as the Insurance Manager for Pop Warner. She has been with Pop Warner since 1993. She currently resides in Bucks County with her husband, Steve, sons Jeremy and Brian, and their cock-a-poo dog, Jessie! |

Trevor Scholl
National Recruiting & Marketing Coordinator |
Trevor is the National Recruiting & Marketing Coordinator for Pop Warner Little Scholars and has been with Pop Warner since 2006. He recruits new leagues, administers grant programs and pursues new fundraisers and other marketing initiatives for Pop Warner.
In 2007, Trevor graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ. He currently resides in Bucks County, PA. |

Phyllis Farruggio
Office Manager |
Phyllis Farruggio is the Office Manager for Pop Warner Little Scholars. She handles all day-to-day administrative duties at Pop Warner. Phyllis has been with Pop Warner since 1995. She currently resides in Bucks County, PA with her family. |

Pop Warner Internship Program |
 |
Pop Warner understands how challenging it can be to obtain valuable experience in the sports industry and therefore offers summer, semester and year round internships for college students in order to provide them with a valuable learning experience in the non-profit youth sports industry.
Qualifications: Proficient in all Microsoft products, esp. Excel and Access, excellent writing, speaking and communication skills, willing to work independently, outgoing, creative, customer service experience or skills.
Duties: Sponsorship research and proposals, assisting with grant applications, assistance with preparing for youth camps and coaches' clinics, on-site event assistance, recruiting, database entry, responding to marketing requests, input for website development and improvement, working with NFL teams on community affairs, assisting with football, cheer and academic programs as well as general office duties.
Type of Remuneration:
Hourly wage and/or academic credit.
