2009 Live Video Streaming FAQ's:
Below are answers to a few of the most commonly asked questions.
Question: I have registered to the video player, now how do I pay for an event?
Answer: Once you register, just go to the player and click on the Schedule. This will show a list of all events. Next to each event there will be a yellow "Pay Now" button. Just click on that and follow the instructions for PayPal.
Question: I have paid for my event, how do I get started watching the video?
Answer: Once your event has begun, follow these simple steps:
1. Go to the video player page (Cheer Video Link I Football Video Link)
2. Log in with your account information (which was also emailed to you when you registered)
3. Click on the "LIVE" box on the right side
4. The video player will now display a message stating you have full movie access, and "click here to watch your video." Click on that link and the video will then load, and begin playing momentarily.
Question: The player says my account is in use, I can't log in. What do I do?
Answer: That means you didn't log out before closing your browser. Just an email to webupdate@popwarner.com and we will reset your account.
Question: What happens if the video begins to stop and start from time to time?
Answer: First off, it is a webcast...so everything is based on your internet connections. From time to time, you are likely to have a little bit of buffering occur, but it should be minimal. If it continues, this is a sign of a slower internet connection. A few remedies include refreshing the player (right-click, select Refresh) or you can try logging out of the player, close your browser and restart the process or trying to access the video from a different computer or internet connection.
Question: What happens if I am getting audio, but not video?
Answer: This is an indication that your internet connection is not strong enough, since it is only pulling the audio (which is streamed at a lower rate than the video).
Question: What browser's do you recommend using to watch the video.
Answer: The two preffered browsers that work best with the player are Internet Explorer and mozilla Firefox.
Question: Can I view the video in Full-Screen?
Answer: Yes, just right-click on he video player and select "Toggle Full-Screen."
Question: What quality is the video streamed at?
Answer: We stream all of our events at least 400k. Keep in mind this is a webcast, it is not going to be Television quality, but we will provide the feed at the highest rate to allow people to watch the event successfully.
Question: Can I watch the webcast at a later date?
Answer: No, unfortunately it is only available for Live Viewing. You can purchase DVD's of the event afterwards at www.sevideo.biz
Question: Will Pop Warner provide a refund if I miss the competition or have troubles viewing?
Answer: We agree to provide a working video feed, but can't be responsible to variables that might affect individual's viewing (I.e. the user's internet connection, computer, etc.). As long as everything is functioning correctly on our end, we will not provide a refund. If you have any issues with the video, you should contact us AT LEAST 1-hour prior to the start of your event so we can help remedy the situation for you.
Question: Who do I contact if I have troubles viewing?
Answer: Send us an email and we will respond as quickly as possible. Please note, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday we will not be as readily available due to simultaneous events going on at the same time. Please test everything well in advance of your event.
